Welcome!

Welcome to my website! I hope by coming here you can get a clear image of my life in Uganda and the ways I am serving here. I love this country, the people and the culture so much and hope to share that with you through this site.

What am I doing in Uganda?

I am teaching elementary aged students at an International School located about 15 miles outside of Jinja, Uganda. This school is part of the organization Good Shepherd’s Fold. Good Shepherd’s Fold is an organization with various departments committed to outreach and ministry within the surrounding communities. The international school that I teach at, is part of the education department and is on the GSF campus. The students at my school are children whose parents are serving in ministries in Uganda.

I have absolutely loved my year and a half of teaching at GSF. It is such a joy to get to invest in the students lives and hear about the various things their parents do to serve Ugandans. Some of the parents of my students support children with disabilities so they can thrive in families and communities. Some of the parents of my students work with children that live and work on the streets. Some of the parents of the students I teach help train pastors in Uganda. Some of the parents of the students I teach work for GSF in the finances department or advocate for the education for children with disabilities. Some of the parents of the students I teach are counselors. Some work with the deaf community. Through teaching their children, these missionaries can do the work the Lord has called them to do, while knowing their children are getting an education that will prepare them for further education in their home countries if they one day choose.
